Jorge Martinez - Hola Robert,

Will it work using one or two flashes? Or do all three need to be connected?

Thank you,

Jorge

January 29, 2014 - 9:33 am

admin - it will trigger 1-3 strobes

January 31, 2014 - 8:48 am

Spencer Pablo - Does it work with the Sony strobes? I have the HVLF60AM and HVLF20AM. I was curious how to fire it remotely from a Sony a99.

January 31, 2014 - 9:06 am

admin - You can use my Tiny Triggers to trigger your flashes on my triple mount but you may need to use some adapters to convert your Sony flashes to a regular hotshoe mount so it will mount to my Triple Mount.

February 13, 2014 - 7:24 am

Andrew Zaragoza - Thank you for keeping this affordable. Only question I have is, how does the triple mount attach to a monopod or light stick? Is it a flash bracket or just a simple 1/4 thread? Just want to make sure before I purchase. Thank you.

February 13, 2014 - 8:50 am

admin - Yes, with 1/4″ thread on a metal mount, just screw into monopod, lightstand or tilting umbrella mount.

April 15, 2014 - 10:50 am

Wendell Reeves - I have a spring shoot outdoors and want to use the wonderful dramatic lighting you teach. The sites are a nature area and beachfront with bright sunlight as the shoot start time is 10am. Would the triple mount on a larger light stand be what I am looking for? (the triple mount special) Also I have several Pocketwizards and want to know if those would work for me?

April 15, 2014 - 12:35 pm

admin - yes, the triple mount special will work, you just need to attache your PW to it!!

May 12, 2014 - 9:56 am

Larry - Hi Scott
Interesting product. Will this work with canon 580ex, 580exll and 600 ex rt with radio popper jrx.
If so please explain how.
Thanks Larry

May 14, 2014 - 2:58 pm

KT13 - Hi! Can you tell me why I would want the Triple Mount instead of the Big Boy Bar? I’m not sure which one would be best for me. Thanks!

May 14, 2014 - 3:42 pm

admin - I use both but if you had to choose one, I would go with the Triple Mount.

May 19, 2014 - 9:48 pm

KT13 - Hi again!
I was wondering about this: “Developing a 4 flash mount with built in trigger!!! coming in a couple months.” that was mentioned in the Big Boy Bar comments. Is that available yet? Did I miss it somewhere? Thanks!

May 20, 2014 - 12:02 pm

admin - I’m sorry but this is the only mount that can fire three flashes with one receiver. I have the BBB but that only holds 4 flashes.

May 23, 2014 - 2:10 am

sarah - Hi,
I was wondering if I have to change the power to each flash alone. or if it works like a master flash, so I can change the power for all three just by taking control of one flash.
Thx sarah

May 23, 2014 - 6:32 am

admin - this is a manual system- you control power but it is easier than u think

May 27, 2014 - 7:40 pm

SHAWN - Hi Scott, setting up three flashes on tripple mount
if we use the idea of 1 stop gain is 2 stops or two flashes, then 1.5 stops gain will be with three flashes.

if ur using a sunny 16 rule and at 6 feet away with tripple mount how would you adjust your flash power?

May 27, 2014 - 11:30 pm

admin - Try at 5 feet at 1/4 power. it will be close to the right exposure.

June 2, 2014 - 2:40 pm

Adrian Ong - Will this work for 3 different brand flashes, i.e. 1 Strobie, 1 Canon and 1 Nikon or 2 Nikons and 1 Canon?
thank you.

June 2, 2014 - 4:40 pm

admin - YES!!!

September 22, 2014 - 5:12 pm

Vilania - Hi Scott: I purchase your course from creative live which I love it,(crazy stupid light) and now I’ll start to doing wedding, I was looking your wedding kit, looks really interesting but I have a question, I have few pocket wizard plus lll and I wonder if does work with your strobes? And on the other hand I love the triple mount flash, but I like your LED lights deal too with the wedding kit, any advise, please.(Your comment is awaiting moderation)

September 22, 2014 - 5:23 pm

admin - Get the wedding kit! you’ll love it. The flashes work with my system. If you want any other flash to work with my system you just need to by an additional receiver v3.

September 24, 2014 - 3:18 pm

Rachel - Hi Scott,

This is an awesome product! You confirmed that pocket wizards will trigger the mount… will a Phottix trigger work as well? I have both the Odin and Stratos versions… Thanks!!

September 24, 2014 - 6:00 pm

admin - Yes should work with all said triggers.

October 20, 2014 - 9:49 pm

Christina - Hey, would this come with the trigger as well as the transmitter?

October 20, 2014 - 10:00 pm

admin - Yes, transmitter is included with the package!!

October 21, 2014 - 10:12 am

Annie - Would a third party trigger work here.

Thanks!

October 21, 2014 - 8:13 pm

admin - YES!!

October 21, 2014 - 8:14 pm

admin - Yes, transmitter included!

January 5, 2015 - 3:16 pm

richie - How long would it take to deliver to Connecticut?

January 5, 2015 - 4:15 pm

admin - a couple days, I use USPS, faster than UPS

January 7, 2015 - 9:30 am

Dave - I am a little unclear on what the triple mount special includes. I am reading it as including three Strobie 230s, each with a built in receiver, a separate transmitter, and the Triple Mount with umbrella holder and sync cord. Please advise if this is correct.

January 7, 2015 - 10:14 am

admin - Yes! you got it right!! Great price!!

January 7, 2015 - 4:00 pm

Gbenga - hi. just to confirm. Will this work with a combination of flashes. i have yongnuo and canon flashes. and i have yongnuo triggers. will these work with your flash bracket.

January 7, 2015 - 6:11 pm

admin - yes it will fire all three flashes in manual mode.

January 20, 2015 - 2:29 am

Mike - I shoot cars, will it have enough juice to give me enough quality light?

Regards
Mike

January 20, 2015 - 8:17 am

admin - well that’s kinda a trick question- if you are just using one flash now then for sure this is better but if you are using studio strobes it may be enough or not depending on the light source that you are using now. A car is a large area so two triple mounts would be my recommendation.

January 20, 2015 - 8:27 am

Mike - So would you recommend three or would four 230’s be better run with less power?

January 20, 2015 - 11:18 am

Robert - So what is the advantage of putting 3 flashes together as versus just one einstein head with a vagabond mini. Cost me 500 + 239 for the battery and I get light that can over power anything and has a very good range from 1 to 256th power and t13500. The only thing is I can not hyper sync. But do I need that. 320 shutter is good enough. I just close the aperture to 16.

January 20, 2015 - 11:29 am

admin - Three or four works well.

January 20, 2015 - 11:31 am

admin - Well, I suggest you try it. The advantage with flash is that it is portable, no need for heavy power packs and you can travel internationally with this type of set up.

February 14, 2015 - 7:08 am

wayne - Hi Scott,

Can you please confirm what the delivery cost is to the UK for your Triple Mount special $425 and how long it would take once ordered.
Best regards

Wayne

February 14, 2015 - 8:52 am

admin - put in cart – add postal code and see shipping cost. in thinking around $70 or so.

February 16, 2015 - 12:04 pm

Jose Martinez - I need something lighter for the locations productions, this Triple Mount Special package, does include tripod and umbrella or this pieces comes apart ?

What other products do you suggest, to do commercial productions outside the studio?

Thanks a lot.

José

February 18, 2015 - 12:11 pm

Mike - Got caught in the PW trap. Shoot Nikon have a TT5 Flex,a TT1 Mini and 2/SB 700’s.

Can I fire 3/SB 700’s in manual from your Triple Mount w/syn and umbrella mount with TT5 Flex? Or do I need to dump the PW’s I have?

February 18, 2015 - 12:28 pm

admin - I’m not sure how large the TT5 is and if it will mount on the cold shoe of the triple mount. I suggest you sell the flex system and get a low cost triggering system. If you want to trade your PWs for my Tiny Trigger Set I do that all the time.

February 18, 2015 - 12:30 pm

admin - This does not include the umbrella or a light stand. If you do indoor photos a Killer Video Light thru an umbrella is impressive.

March 19, 2015 - 9:12 am

stacey - Does the triple mount special include three strobies or would i need to purchase those separately?

March 19, 2015 - 9:29 am

admin - YES includes three Strobie 230s and a transmitter! Great deal!!!

April 5, 2015 - 7:24 pm

Justin Lawrence - Scott,

Can the flashes on your mount be used as HSS, and as well be controlled by a TTL dedicated sender that i can control all the powers?

April 5, 2015 - 9:27 pm

admin - It is not intended for TTL use but some systems work in TTL with my Triple Mount. See description and link showing TTL use by user.

April 18, 2015 - 10:04 am

Reinaldo Robinson - I’m interested in using this with a Photek Softliter 60 Inch Diffused Umbrella. Is this capable of safely holding this size and weight umbrella?

Love the design, especially the cold shoe for the receiver. Nothing worse then have a receiver hanging and banging into the stand…

April 18, 2015 - 10:08 am

admin - well you can try and if it doesn’t work you can return it!

May 29, 2015 - 10:56 pm

Adonay Pernia - Greetings from venezuela! i would like to buy your triple mount device but i only have $ in my amazon acount, do you sell it on amazon?

thanks for your time!

June 29, 2015 - 6:47 am

Shawn - Does the $40 include the umbrella mount?

Do you have any knowledge of the tipple flash holder supporting TTL with Phottix Odin on Nikon.

June 29, 2015 - 12:28 pm

admin - There is a center hole in the mount that will hold an umbrella stem, if you see link above there is a video of using this unit in TTL HS mode.

June 30, 2015 - 11:05 am

Justin Lawrence - I love the Odin system but surprisingly the Yongnuo YN-622C system blows the phottix out the water! Was gonna get this mount just worried its not compatible

June 30, 2015 - 12:01 pm

admin - Well, if you watch this video, it seems like the YN-622C works with my mount!! https://youtu.be/Ei2g3zBLvp8

June 30, 2015 - 12:02 pm

admin - I’m sorry, no Amazon account.

August 29, 2015 - 2:06 am

Noemy - Hi! Can the Triple Mount support a large 7′ Parabolic Umbrella?

August 29, 2015 - 5:59 am

admin - I don’t think so, I think the stem would be too large to fit and it is a lot of weight to support. I would not recommend.

October 3, 2015 - 6:30 pm

Kageoni - Awesome tool. Do you ship to Europe?

October 4, 2015 - 6:23 am

admin - Yes!

October 6, 2015 - 9:33 am

Mark Goulais - I ordered the Triple Mount. What size umbrella shaft fits the hole? I’m looking at ordering an Impact Umbrella either 45″ or 60″ they have an 8mm shaft.

October 6, 2015 - 10:00 am

admin - 8mm should work. I use a 33″ standard umbrella. The super compact umbrellas that fold down have too large of a shaft.

October 7, 2015 - 8:10 am

Fred - Is your triple mount system compatible with radio popper nano?

October 7, 2015 - 8:10 am

Fred - Is your triple mount system compatible with radio popper nano?

October 7, 2015 - 8:34 am

admin - Any trigger that has a sync out and can use a cord that will adapt to a 3.5mm plug, it will work.

January 14, 2016 - 3:43 pm

Jim Young - Hey Scott,

Used the bracket for the first time last weekend, and it worked well! Big difference with combined power vs. over here and over there, ha. It was a dark place that required more light. I posted your product and tutorial on the event FB page!

Thx Scott!

Jim

February 3, 2016 - 8:02 pm

Art - Just wondering what would be the cost to purchase one or two of these units and have them shipped to Nova Scotia Canada. Also how would they work with the Nikon tt1 and tt5 and AC3.

Thanks

February 4, 2016 - 8:11 am

admin - I think it will work in manual mode, but I don’t think you get ttl or HSS.

February 22, 2016 - 2:01 pm

Marvin - I would like to know does this work with Younguo flashes and triggers?

February 22, 2016 - 8:36 pm

admin - Yes, some have even got to HSS to work on some models but I know it will work in manual mode.

March 3, 2016 - 4:04 pm

Eric - Hi and thx for your time.
Just to confirm. I am currently using Yongnuo YN622C transceivers controlled by a Yongnuo YN622C TX Transmitter. So I’m only interested in the triple mount with sync cord, not the flash kit deal. What’s the total cost to post to Australia? I’m very excited about your item.
Thank you.

March 3, 2016 - 8:58 pm

admin - Put it in cart and see. I think around $20 to ship.

April 27, 2016 - 10:19 pm

bilal - Hello,
is there any chance to put this awesome product in amazon or ebay to buy it from there

April 27, 2016 - 10:46 pm

admin - Yes, that’s a good idea, I think I will.

September 15, 2016 - 2:21 pm

Gregory P Colvin - How much are faster delivery options?

September 16, 2016 - 11:31 pm

admin - when do you need it by?

January 25, 2017 - 12:03 am

Monica - This will be my first lighting purchase. I want to know if the strobie stick, triple mount, and strobie’s 230 will be compatible with a soft box.

January 25, 2017 - 9:05 am

admin - Yes, there are some that do work but not all. So you have to do your research. I have one that will work for $75 if interested. You can contact me at scott@scottrobertgallery.com

January 26, 2017 - 10:35 pm

Debbie - Probably about 2 years ago I purchased the 3 Strobie 230’s with triple mount kit. I now have the time to work on learning flash photography. I understand that each flash unit has a built-in receiver. Do you only use the sync cord that comes with the triple mount if you are using at least one non Strobie flash? And if this is the case do you have to purchase one receiver from you?

January 26, 2017 - 10:54 pm

admin - You do not need to use the cord or attach another receiver when using the 230. They will all trigger when used with the transmitter on your camera.

January 26, 2017 - 11:01 pm

Debbie - Would you use the sync cord if you used 2 Stobie 230’s and 1 Canon 430?

January 26, 2017 - 11:13 pm

admin - If you are using my transmitter then you would need my Tiny Trigger Receiver to mount on triple mount and attach cord. Put your 230s in manual mode and turn off wifi signal off (center button)
