Battery power is what fuels your camera- no juice, no pictures. What happens when you run out of power and there are no electricity outlets to plug in your battery charger? Many of the newer Sony cameras charge their batteries inside the camera and use a 5V DC charge with a micro USB connector which is very common for charging smart phones- (light bulb goes off in my head)
Since our power hungry smartphones and tablets need to be recharged more than once a day with typical use, many of us use portable battery power to charge our phones on the fly. Why not use a USB portable charger to charge your camera battery? I have three Sony cameras that use a 5V charge so I put it to the test.
What You Need:
- Micro USB cable (USB 2.0)
- USB Portable Battery Charger 5V
- Sony Camera- A7x, RX1, RX100x, RX10 (probably more usable cameras that I’m not aware of)
