Four Bay Battery Charger for Sony Mirrorless

DO YOU OWN A SONY MIRRORLESS CAMERA? (A7xxx, A6000, A6300, A5000, etc.) We designed this charger for the working professional who uses many NP-FW50 batteries. Sony full frame mirrorless cameras can require a tremendous amount of power- crunching high megpixels (42mp), capturing video, utilizing the 5 axis stabilization, OLED viewfinder, 11fps, auto focusing, etc. And quite honestly busy Sony users tend to use many batteries because of Sony’s advanced technology and Sony wanting to keep the size of the camera very small and light.

As a working professional, I can rip thru 8 batteries shooting a wedding and if the photographer or videographer is shooting a long session the Sony user will need to charge many batteries. The Quad Charger can easily charge up to four batteries at once whether you have access to AC electricity or have a handy USB Power stick or charger often used to charge smart phones. The adventurous photographer may not have access to electricity, that is why we designed this to charge your batteries while in your bag or on the road thru a USB power port even thru your laptop. If you want to find out the best USB hubs using which you can charge multiple devices on the go at the same time, do visit the HotRate website.

We also designed this charger to have a very low profile, the size close to 5″ x 3″ x .75″ (127mm x 76mm x 19mm) which is smaller than many 2 bay chargers on the market! The small footprint makes it very easy to pack.

The working photographer may shoot long gigs “back to back” or on consecutive days, i.e. wedding photographers or cinematographers and will need to charge their batteries efficiently- get a few of these chargers and batch charge 8-12 batteries overnight while you sleep and not worry or stay up to rotate batteries to be charged. The Quad Charger makes life easy.

Charging up to four batteries- use the AC cord (provided) for maximum electrical input. Place battery into bay, if there is a green light, it is charged, if it shows a red light it needs to be charged and leave in bay until indicator light turns green or starts to blink.

USB portable charging- If you are on the road and have no access to AC electricity, charge batteries using the mini usb ports on the opposite side of the AC plug. There are two mini usb ports and can charge one battery per port. Just plug your USB power into one of ports and it will charge one battery. If you have a USB power pack that has two separate ports or you want to use two USB chargers you can charge up to two batteries. Charge batteries that have a red indicator light and wait until light turns green or starts to blink.

Bob von Z - Can you charge less than 4 batteries at one time without damage?

September 19, 2016 - 3:12 pm

Barbara Harvill - Received quad charger for Sony NP-FW50 batteries. Shipped quickly after order. Very professionally packaged, well made and includes US and European adapter. Each port has its’ own light so you know when each battery is done. Well made and batteries fit well in each dock – they are not loose and click when seated correctly. No overheating of charger so far. Thank you Scott – This is a game changer for us Sony users. I rarely go out with less than 4 batteries – now I don’t have to keep checking status of single charge and I don’t have to tie up more than outlet – no worry about forgetting a charger when I travel. Well worth the money if you are a Sony camera owner.

Christopher Engell - Hello I found your charger and in the past stopped using aftermarket chargers because they don’t fully charge the Sony NP-FW50 batteries, that is when the aftermarket charger shows a green led and then put the Sony battery on the Sony charger it charges for 15 minutes to 30 more minutes meaning that the aftermarket chargers does not fully recharge these batteries? Also when I did use the batteries from the aftermarket charger the Sony batteries did not last as long.

Also with poor power filtering from the AC or DC quality of power is most important to not cause damage to these NP-FW50 batteries, what quality of charger power is your charger? I trust the Sony brand due to the best power circuit quality, what if I order and your charger don’t live up to these questions some return policy with a full refund?

September 27, 2016 - 10:40 am
