Scott Robert’s International Real World Portrait Workshop
Learn how to take a great on location portraits in the real world. There are many skills the photographer has to master. This workshop is designed to give the photographer all the tools needed to capture amazing environmental portrait images.

Mentoring and One on One Coaching
Having the right techniques are only part of the formula to a successful business. Find out how to create your own unique style and take your business to new levels of success. Individual mentoring and coaching will be available which will address the unique and specific needs of each photographer. Two way communication with an experienced mentor is essential to accelerate one’s professional and personal development. There will be plenty of time for each photographer to ask questions relevant to their individual journey and will come away with valuable custom tailored advise and counsel.

About The Instructor
Master photographer Scott Robert Lim was selected as one of the most influential photographers in the world and has won over 70 international awards and a stellar track record of developing world class photographers. His work has been published in countless magazines, books, websites and videos. Scott is passionate about helping others and his inspirational teaching style is intoxicating and invaluable for those looking to make quantum leaps with their photography career.

Itinerary (Tentative Schedule) There is always 3 hours of lecturing and 3 hours of shooting every day. When and where may vary according to weather, venue scheduling, conflicting events out of our control, etc. Students must be somewhat flexible.

Day 0 July 16 Monday (Arrival)

Day 1 July 17 Tuesday

  • 9 am-12:30pm – Lecture
  • 12:30 pm – Lunch break
  • 1-6 pm – FREE TIME, private sessions with models for hire* for portfolio building, photo culling editing for critique/album, technique practicing, travel/street photography, networking with other photographers.
  • 1-4 pm – Individual Mentoring 1 hr (optional)
  • 6-9 pm – Live Class Shoot- Scott Robert Lim demonstrations, students break into groups and practice techniques with models, this is viewed as a learning session, portfolio building most likely would result from your own private shoots with hired models* during week. (Sun sets at around 10pm)

Day 2 July 18 Wednesday

  • 9 am-12:30pm – Lecture
  • 12:30 pm – Lunch break
  • 1-6 pm – Private sessions with models for hire* for portfolio building, photo culling editing for critique/album, technique practicing, travel/street photography, networking with other photographers
  • 1-4 pm – Individual Mentoring 1 hr (optional)
  • 6-9 pm – Live Class Shoot- Scott Robert Lim demonstrations, students break into groups and practice techniques with models, this is viewed as a learning session, portfolio building most likely would result from your own private shoots with hired models* during week.

Day 3 July 19 Thursday

  • 9 am-12:30pm – Lecture
  • 12:30 pm – Lunch break
  • 1-6 pm – Private sessions with models for hire* for portfolio building, photo culling editing for critique/album, technique practicing, travel/street photography, networking with other photographers
  • 1-4 pm – Individual Mentoring 1 hr (optional)
  • 7-10 pm – Live Class Shoot- Scott Robert Lim demonstrations, students break into groups and practice techniques with models, this is viewed as a learning session, portfolio building most likely would result from your own private shoots with hired models* during week.

Day 4 July 19 Friday

  • 9 am-12:30pm – Critique Student Images
  • 12:30 pm – Lunch break
  • 1-4 pm – Individual consultations, private sessions with models for hire*, photo culling editing for critique/album, technique practicing, travel/street photography, networking with other photographers
  • 6-9 pm – Your Personal headshot by Scott Robert Lim or┬áhire models* for private session (portfolio building)

*Models for hire: Models will be available for your portfolio building sessions and for students to practice and develop their own signature shots which can be used for website, albums, competition, etc. Instructor will not be present. Model hiring rates range from $60 – $100 per hour. I strongly recommend no more than three photographers to a group when hiring a model. Contact individual model for booking and hiring policies. Models will be added into our Facebook Group

Limiting this workshop to 15 photographers for a private and personal experience.

Early bird special, first 5 registrations pay $1,595. Regular fee $1,995. Payment plans are available upon request.

Attendees are responsible for booking their own transportation, and hotel.

What happens next ?

Once you are registered and your payment has been approved, you will be invited to a private Facebook group along with other attendees. This group is going to be a great source of knowledge for you prior and after the workshop. If you are also looking for a roommate to split the room cost, the group is an excellent place to do so.

After the workshop, you will also be invited into the International Workshop Facebook group, which every international workshop student are a part of, that is another invaluable tool to help you grow your career. Our alumni’s feature people from various backgrounds and strengths and are more than willing to help you further your career.

You will also have the option to book private sessions with the models. These sessions can be scheduled according to availability with photographer and model
